Figueretas (ses figueretes) – Place to see in Ibiza
Figueretas is a small suburb of Ibiza Town, with an international mixture of tourists and locals has a selection of cafés, bars and restaurants throughout the area, catering for all tastes.
Figueretas is a popular resort for all the right reasons. Think palm tree lined promenade, with a golden sand beach and wonderful panoramic views of the Mediterranean stretching before you. Welcome to Figueretas, a resort that is so good even the locals like to come down and spend time here. Just a short fifteen minute stroll from Ibiza Town in one direction and the famed Playa d’en Bossa resort in the other direction, it’s ideally situated.
Because it is so near to Ibiza Town and Playa d’en Bossa (both a 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk away) and offers real local flair, Figueretas is a much loved holiday destination for people of all ages. A well made central beach, divided into smaller parts sits in front of apartments and hotels, and is bordered by a long, palm-fringed promenade. Little ferries depart from the jetties on both ends, to Ibiza town, Playa d’en Bossa and for great daytime excursions to the famous hippy market in Es Caná and the Caribbean-like beaches of the sister island Formentera.
